In Toulouse we were lucky to stay with really nice hosts, Peter's sisters friends. Here we stayed for the longest so far - 4 nights. We decided that from here we can take the car and explore also cities nearby - Albi and Carcassonne. On the first day we walked around Toulouse - the main square and the little streets around it, enjoyed the passage along the river. We found a shop where Peter could buy vanilla syrup for milk, his sister once brought him from Toulouse.
The rest of the day we used for working and writing postcards :)
On the second day we visited Albi and Carcassonne - both I one day in order to reduce the extent of driving on the rather pricey French highways.
On the last day we were having a holiday from sightseeing. Yes, we totally felt like we need a vocation from this vocation. In the morning we took a tour in Airbus. Toulouse is the place where Airbus planes are assembled, tested and delivered. It was fairly interesting and informative regarding all the processes that are involved in assembling of a plane.
The rest of the day we enjoyed shopping for food! Yes, we missed supermarket and cheap, accessible food :D Lots of cities we visited until now, had mainly only pricy restaurants, that always left us a decision between spending money or eating Subway sandwiches. So this was a great change for us :)
Later in the evening we went for a tapas dinner with our hosts. This will be the last and very nice memory from Toulouse :)
Someone's having lunch!
